God Is

As I was meditating on the scriptures in Proverbs 4:20-23, Holy Spirit shared something with me, and I wanna share it with you! Remember this when we crack open our Bibles, we open them with expectation to receive, and if we receive that means we have it, we’re not trying to get it, we got it. It’s all on the inside. That means this Word that is revealed, is the same Word that will work for us in our everyday faith-filled life! We must KEEP it in the midst of our hearts, Why? Because “God Is” our very life(Source). Our hearts,( this word is used interchangeably with soul and spirit) our feelings of love and desires dictate to a great extent on how we live, because we always find time to do what we enjoy. Solomon tells us to guard our hearts ABOVE ALL ELSE, making sure that we guard, what goes in our ears, and what comes out of our mouth, making sure that our thoughts line up with God’s thoughts, that will cause us to talk right! Make sure we’re on the right path, this Word is our Faith-food, we’re BLESSED to have found it (verse 22) says that they’re LIFE to those who find them, and it’s so powerful that it will even bring healing to our bodies. Then the author speaks about appetites, desires, and emotions, making sure our affections push us in the right direction. We have to put boundaries on our desires. We don’t go after everything we see with the physical eye. Proverbs tells us. To look straight ahead, keeping our eyes fixed on the goal and don’t get sidetracked on detours that lead to sin. Sin will take us further than we want to go, and keep us longer than we want to be kept! It’s the separator of relationships, fellowship, health, and everything else that Jesus bought and paid for us, hallelujah! So my friends, last, but not least attend to the Word, and again, I say, “Don’t get sidetracked.” Stay on the Narrow Road!
